NAIPO X LANDO KLEMANN

 

This project is a collaboration between NAIPO and LANDO KLEMANN..

 

The „NAIPO 4D HIGH-END“ massage chair with the „RAUMKAPSEL-DESIGN“ built and engineered by NAIPO, 

was worked and painted by Lando Klemann in 2024. 

 

What does art means to the people? Can technology be art also? Can we transfer an interface of both ?

These key questions were the start of this long project. Approaches in the work were the dimensions, as it’s not a straight canvas, the curve of the material, making the material itself paint- able and bringing the different parts together as ONE work. Another challenge was the „zero gravity function“, as the chair is able to slope down in a full horizontal position. Specific parts in the painting are supposed to bring a straight perception in the eye of the recipients, so that it looks straight in every position always.

 

All parts were sanded down, primed in clean white and then painted with acryl, charcoal and oil.
