ARTISTIC STANCE [VISION]

My artistic approach stands for dissolving the boundaries between high fashion and art, challenging the notion that Haute Couture is not a considered form of art. For me, painting is not just a form of image, but a medium, a dynamic system of reflections and transmissions, while it can reflect beyond its own medium. It is not static, but fluid and in constant dialogue with other media that show parallels in their materiality and continuously mirror and question themselves. Painting thus becomes a space that can open beyond the canvas and has the quality of making invisible sequences visible - whether in the representation of fashion as conceptual art or in the engagement with societal topics such as identity and anonymity. I understand my works as spaces of displacement, as conceptual art in which the boundaries between traditional image concepts and current social discourses are constantly being renegotiated.
